What are clear aligners and how do they work?

UltraClearAlign is an invisible adult brace, which is sometimes known as a clear aligner. UltraClearAlign is an orthodontic device that is a transparent plastic form of dental brace used to adjust tooth alignment. They are thin, yet strong and highly flexible and they are fabricated to fit each individual's mouth. Aligners are an alternative to traditional metal fixed braces. Benefits of clear aligners outweigh conventional fixed braces as they are more pleasing to the eye with discomfort and pain being minimal.

Each custom-made aligner moves your teeth in small increments until the desired position is achieved. During the first two to three days of wearing a new aligner, you will feel moderate pressure on your teeth. However, this will subside once the teeth start to settle into their new position.

Each aligner should be worn for 10-14 days, dependent on your customised treatment plan. After a series of aligners, your teeth will gradually shift into the desired position and you can achieve your perfect smile.  The time it takes to complete the treatment varies from person to person as it is dependent on the complexity of each case. It is advised that you speak with an UltraClearAlign provider to determine both the time scale of your treatment and the cost.
